Empowering Black Women Entrepreneurs to THRIVE!

Purposed Pursuit's BWE Fund Grant is an initiative created to support Black women entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners who are launching, building, or scaling their work.

Rooted in our organizational pillar of Entrepreneurship, this microgrant is a strategic step in our commitment to see Women-Owned businesses THRIVE.

About BWE

The BWE Fund Grant is a microgrant created by Purposed Pursuit to strengthen, encourage, and empower Black women entrepreneurs who are building, growing, or reimagining purpose-driven businesses. Whether you're launching your first product, rebuilding after a pause, or expanding a vision that’s been brewing for years, this grant is designed to meet you where you are, with support that affirms your potential and equips you for progress.

What we’re offering is not just funding, it’s validation and visibility. The BWE Fund Grant includes a $500 monetary award, along with a matched $500 value in professional promotional and marketing services. Together, these elements provide both financial and strategic fuel to help you gain traction and move forward with clarity.

We believe that business growth doesn’t require a backstory of hardship to be meaningful. You don’t need to share your trauma to qualify. We are not looking for savior narratives. We are looking for women who are clear on what they’re building, why it matters, and how a well-timed grant can make a difference.

This microgrant is intended for work that is purposeful, creative, and aligned with your vision. That might mean a side hustle ready to scale, a small business you’re expanding, or a new idea that needs a strong first step. If what you’re doing is rooted in purpose and positioned for growth, we want to hear from you.

What We're Offering

For this cycle, we are awarding:

  • One $500 monetary microgrant coupled with a $500 in-kind award in the form of business promotional marketing services (ie. promotional products, marketing collateral) for a combined total value of $1,000

  • Public recognition and visibility through Purposed Pursuit platforms

  • Optional invitation to share your entrepreneurial journey or creative reflection

The Exchange

The BWE Fund is built on the belief that giving and receiving are reciprocal acts.

This grant isn't just a gift, it's a partnership. If selected, recipients agree to contribute to a community archive of reflection and encouragement. This could be:
