Grant Exchange Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all applicants of the BWE Grant Fund. Please read carefully before submitting your application.

 

Eligibility
 

• Open to all black women entrepreneurs, freelancers, and business owners based in the United States

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application

• Applicants must operate or be preparing to launch a for-profit business. Nonprofits are not eligible

• One application per person per cycle. Only one award will be granted per applicant

Award Details

 

• One applicant will receive a $500 monetary grant

• The recipient will also receive $500 in matched business support services

• Total value of the award is $1,000

• The grant recipient will be notified via email by August 31

• Grant funds will be disbursed by September 15

Promotional Use and Story Sharing

The grant recipient agrees that Purposed Pursuit may publicly share their name, likeness, and business summary for promotional and storytelling purposes.

Applicants who choose to share testimonials, reflections, or creative submissions will retain ownership of their work while granting Purposed Pursuit permission to publish and share with attribution

 

Privacy and Confidentiality

All personal and business information provided during the application process will be used only to evaluate applications and administer the grant. We do not share or sell your information.

Purposed Pursuit reserves the right to modify or cancel the grant program at any time. All decisions made by the selection committee are final.​

Tax Responsibility

Grant recipients are solely responsible for reporting any grant funds received to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and for paying any applicable taxes.

Purposed Pursuit, Inc. will not issue a 1099 form or any tax documentation. Please consult a tax professional if you have questions about how to report grant funds.
